Authors Note

Hey everyone. So, I've said that I'm only going to be posting twice a week, this is just a reminder. And, the chapter after the next one is a little... strange. I just figured that I would warn you. :)

If you see a character acting out of character (That looks strange written down), it's most likely because they need to to (Read it out loud. It only looks wrong) fit the scene.

Also, this story does not co-operate with Act Your Ages. I was writing it before that episode came out in English. Thank-you.

Chapter 31: Lasagna (Has Nothing To Do With This Chapter)

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

“How old is ‘old enough’?” Phineas looks at Perry accusingly.

Perry rubs his bill, “Twenty-five is when we are allowed to reveal our secret identities to our owners. If you hadn't started working for O.W.C.A., and if Pinky hadn’t…” that flash of hatred flashes in his eyes again. “None of you would know about it.”

“Oh…” Phineas sits back.

Up until now, Ferb has been watching the scene with a concerned look on his face. He read the note over Phin’s shoulder, so he knows what’s going on. Well, mostly. “Wait… did you say that you have presents for us?”

Perry chuckles. “Well, yeah. And there are also… Candace has some stuff that she’s been saving for you too.” His platy-smile fades.

Right on cue, Candace walks in with Jeremy. “Oh, hello Isabella.”

“Hey, Candace…” She still looks sad. Candace’s eyes widen. She turns to Perry.

He nods, and points to her necklace that she’s been wearing since before Perry was adopted. “My… Oh. Hey, Iz?” Isabella looks up at Candace curiously. “Do you want to come upstairs and talk for a bit?”

Chapter 30: Isabella's Inheritance

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me

“What’s going on?” Isabella looks up at her boyfriend, tears still in her eyes.

Phineas sits down next to her gently, and she starts talking, so quiet that Phineas can barely hear her. “Pinky… he volunteered to be assigned to Zon Joshsyn as her third nemesis assignment. He vanished, and Perry just told me that they’ve heard that she had a lava pit at that time.” She starts sobbing again, and Perry’s eyes flash with hatred. He puts his hand on Isabella’s knee comfortingly.

“Krrrr.” It’s so sad, the way he chatters, that Phineas looks at him. The anger in his eyes is giving way to grief, then determination.

“No, Perry!” Phineas can tell what the platypus wants to do, and he doesn’t like it.

Perry looks at him, the determination in his eyes fading to frustration. “Krrr.” I can’t anyway, Phineas… I promised Pinky that if something ever happened to him, I would take care of Isabella.

“Perry, I really don’t speak platypus.” Phineas hugs Isabella. “Izzy… I don’t know what it’s like to have your pet die on a mission, to never know for sure… but I’m here for you.” Perry looks down at the floor sadly. He pulls out a notepad.

“Actually, Bucky was one of the founding agents of O.W.C.A. He was my mentor… he died on the way back from a dangerous mission in a thunderstorm. I couldn’t save him. I’m sorry.”  Phineas feels Perry place the notepad on his knee. He looks down and reads the note.*

“Is that why you don’t like thunderstorms?” Perry nods. Phineas rubs his head affectionately.

Isabella sighs. Perry looks at her, and his eyes widen suddenly. He flinches as he puts in his translator. “I forgot… Pinky left you a whole bunch of stuff back at the agency. I didn’t want to give up on him by giving it to you right away, so I told Mono-gram to wait.” He almost said Monobrow, but stopped himself just in time.

“What?” Isabella stares at Perry.

He grins sheepishly back at her. “Every agent that lives with a family puts aside a portion of earnings, and buys presents every birthday and Christmas and saves them for when their owners are old enough to know, or when he or she dies. Speaking of which, I have presents and stuff for you guys too.”

Chapter 29: Raggedy Phineas

(Okay, so I have a new schedule, so I can only update twice a week now. I'll update on Tuesdays and Thursdays.) Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Phineas carefully presses the edges of the tear together while Ferb places a strip of fabric healer over them. He presses it down as his younger brother removes his hands. “Did you have a good talk with Perry?”

“Yeah… but I’m still a little bit hurt.” Phineas looks down at his hands. “Hey Ferb, does that fabric healer leave a residue that we need to wash off?”

Ferb nods. “Yes. We should probably do that before we turn into rag dolls.”

“Would that really happen, or are you just messing with me?” Phineas decides not to test his brother, and walks over to the bathroom sink. As he washes his hands, he asks Ferb, “What did you and Candace talk about?”

“You.” Ferb watches Phineas closely as he reacts to this information.

Phin straightens up, and turns to dry his hands on a towel. Ferb gets up to wash his hands. “She’s still afraid. She barely even meets my eyes anymore. I hate it.”

“I was scared when you first told me. Perry was probably scared too, because he had such a big secret to keep.” Ferb dries his hands, and turns to his brother. “Give her time.”

Phineas nods, hanging up the dress to dry in Candace’s closet. They head downstairs and see Isabella in their living room having a serious discussion with Perry. “You still aren’t sure?” She’s crying, and Perry looks so melancholy that Phineas runs up to them.

Chapter 28: Aloyse Everheart Elizabeth Otto Wolfgang Hypatia Gunther Galen Gary Cooper von Roddenstein

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

“What?” Zon leaps out of her chair. “Nonononononooo!” She viciously kicks at her punching bag that she keeps in her office. “They can’t still be happy! Candace is not going to win! I will do anything to break them up! Anything!”

Dennis the rabbit watches her attack the punching bag. “Anything, Ms. Joshsyn?”

She turns around abruptly. “Who asked you, bunny?”

“I was just asking.” Dennis perks up his ears. “Aloyse Everheart Elizabeth Otto Wolfgang Hypatia Gunther Galen Gary Cooper von Roddenstein is here.”

Zon rolls her eyes at the full name of her “partner” in crime. She figures, with them working to conquer the entire world together, he can rule it, as long as she gets to use the power to do whatever she wants to Candace, while making sure that Jeremy and the rest of her family live a life of luxury. The poodle barks sharply once, and Aloyse Everheart Elizabeth Otto Wolfgang Hypatia Gunther Galen Gary Cooper von Roddenstein enters her office. “Hello, Zon. I was surprised to get your invitation, being as until now you have seemed reluctant to meet me in person.” He tells the back of her chair.

Zon rolls her eyes, but does not turn the chair around. “I heard that your last group, the League of Villainous Evildoers Maniacally United for Frightening Investments in Naughtiness called you Rodney as opposed to your full name.”

Rodney looks at the back of the chair indignantly. “What is that supposed to mean?”

“It means that I’m not going to call you,” She reads off a piece of paper in her hand, “Aloyse Everheart Elizabeth Otto Wolfgang Hypatia Gunther Galen Gary Cooper von Roddenstein, every time I want to speak with you. So, you had better think up a substitute and fast. There’s a shark pit below, and they haven’t eaten since yesterday.” Zon grins evilly. “Well? What do you wish me to call you?”

“You can call me Aloyse.” The evil scientist sighs. “Didn’t you have a lava pit under your office at one point?”

“Yes, but it was confiscated.” Zon spins her chair around, and Rodney gasps.

Chapter 27: Fear and Joy

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me

Candace swallows hard as Phineas comes over to her. She had watched Perry drop him off, and Ferb had gone to look at the dress. Phineas looks at her gently. “Candace, it’s okay. I’m not mad anymore.” Candace looks around nervously. “Please stop being afraid, sis… I’m not ever going to use my stupid power on anyone. It’s simple. Get it through your mind. Now, I’m going to go help Ferb with your dress.” She stares at him. “He told me last night. Seriously. Oh, hey Jeremy.”

Candace whirls around to face her fiance. “Hello Jeremy.”

“Candace, are you a secret agent?” He looks at her sadly. “Am I just a cover story to you?”

“Yes I’m a secret agent. No, you’re not just a cover story to me.” Candace grabs his hands and looks into his eyes. “I wasn’t allowed to tell you before. Yesterday my boss said that it was okay. I was going to come over later and tell you. How did you find out? And what put that silly cover story Idea into your head?”

Jeremy hugs her. “I got a weird phone call this morning. Whoever it was said that you were a secret agent, and you were just using me as a cover story.”

Candace stopped smiling. “That’s not good. Someone’s been after me lately, and I don’t know why.” She thinks for a moment, “I work for O.W.C.A, the Orginization Without a Cool Acronym.”

“I gave a guitar lesson to a Major Monogram who works at O.W.C.A. once… they aren’t kidding about that acronym, are they?” Jeremy is relaxed now. Then his mind processes something Candace said. “Wait, someone’s been after you? What does that mean? Who?”

Candace sighs. “An evil villain named Zon Joshsyn. She stole my internet information, but with the help of some friends, I got all of my passwords and most of my usernames changed before she attempted to access any of my accounts.” She leads Jeremy into the living room. “We caught the spy that she sent into my bedroom. Remember Douglas Worthington?”

Jeremy flinches. “How could I forget? He beat me up because he was in love with you.”

“He’s now in the O.W.C.A. detention center.” Candace whispers, stopping suddenly as Linda walks into the room.

“Are you hungry? I’m just making lunch for the boys, and I thought that you two lovebirds might like some.” She grins at them happily. Linda feels very happy today. She’s not sure why.

“Sure, mom. That would be great.” Candace smiles back, and they follow Linda into the kitchen.

Chapter 26: Just a Cover?

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Jeremy Johnson picks up his cellphone on the third ring, “Hello?”

“Candace Flynn is a secret agent.” A strange mysterious voice, obviously disguised, speaks into his ear. “She’s just using you as a cover story.”

“What? Who is this!?” the person on the other end hangs up. “Candace… is a secret agent?”

Suzy Johnson knocks on his bedroom door. “Jeremy? Are you coming for breakfast?”

“Yeah, Suzy. I’ll be right there.” Jeremy closes his phone, putting it in his pocket. I’m going to need to go talk to Candace today.

Chapter 25: Forgiven

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Phineas flies the hoverjet to the park. A small clearing, just big enough to land in appears under them. He slowly brings them down onto the grass. Phineas turns to Perry for the first time in five minutes. “I won’t.” Two words, but they make Perry realize that he has been forgiven.

He takes the translator out of his mouth, switches it off, and places it back inside his hat. He looks at his owner. “Krrrr.” Phineas smiles, and presses the button to flip the controls back to Perry’s side.

As they fly back to O.W.C.A, Phineas asks Perry a question. “Does that translator hurt you?”

Perry shakes his head. He types something into the dashboard computer. Words appear on the small screen. “Not really. It just throws me off balance a bit. Distracts me from important things, too. Like giant buildings, -inator blasts, or controlling my emotions.”

Phineas lays a hand on his platypus briefly. “By the way, I love your accent.”

Chapter 24: Don't Walk Away

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Perry points at his hoverjet, and he walks over and starts it. Phineas follows him and carefully sits next to the platypus. “So, why didn’t you tell us?” Perry shakes his head, and when Phineas puts his seatbelt on, he flies up out of the lair, and away from the house on Maple Drive. “Where are we going?”

Perry pulls the translator out of his hat and places it in his mouth again. “Take the wheel.” He presses a button on the dashboard, and the steering wheel and pedals flip to the side that Phineas is sitting on.

Phineas grabs the wheel, but looks sideways at Perry. “Are you okay?”
“I can’t drive with this translator in. It’s very discombobulating.” Perry looks down at his little hands sadly. “I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you Phineas. I… I guess that I just really didn’t want to stop being Perry to you. I don’t…” He trails off.

Phineas stares openly at his pet. “You don’t what?”

“Turn right!” Perry grabs the wheel and swerves the hoverjet just in time to avoid the DEI building. Heinz Doofenshmirtz stares after them, standing next to a strangely shaped object under a tarp. Probably his latest -inator, Perry thinks. “Rats… Phineas, what time is it?” Phineas looks over at his platypus, confused.

“Don’t you have a watch?” The platypus rubs his bill gently.

He smiles half-hertedly. “They aren’t watches. They’re communicators. Plus… I kind of broke it. The clock doesn’t work anymore, and I didn’t want to tell Carl.”

Phineas looks at his watch. “9:36 am, why?”

“I’ve got to go thwart my nemesis at 10:00.” Perry rolls his eyes. “He’s always upset if I’m late.”

Phineas smiles too, almost forgetting he’s angry. “Perry, what were you saying before? You don’t what?”

Perry leans back and looks up at the sky for a minute or two. He looks over at Phineas. “I don’t want you to send me away again.” There. I said it.

Chapter 23: Trust Issues?

(Hi everyone. So here's Chapter 23 of the story that I've taken to calling Maybe Not. I'm actually working on another story right now, you can find it in the holiday specials list. I need some help with it, so please read, and comment if at all possible! Thanks.) Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Ferb jolts slightly. “Perry, what on earth is that pen?” Perry turns to him, smiling a bit.

“This is one of Candace’s inventions.” He tosses it gently to Ferb. “It’s a memory restorer. She’s been working on it in preparation for this very moment.”

Phineas stands up. “Perry. We’ve been working here since we graduated high-school! There was no reason not to tell us.”

Perry tries to stay calm and relaxed, but the translator is making it very hard for him to stay upright. Candace kneels down next to him. “Meat-Brick, take that thing out of your mouth.” She whispers gently. Perry opens his bill, and pulls out the translator. He switches it off and places it back into his fedora.

Phineas is still angry, but Ferb is watching. He recalls how platypi sense electric fields with their bills to be able to “see” underwater. Having the technology in the roof of his mouth, so close to the sensitive bill must really be disorienting for him. “Perry, are you okay?”

Candace looks down at her partner in fighting evil. “He’s okay. But what about Phineas?”

“Why didn’t he tell us? Why didn’t you tell us?” Phineas glares at his older sister. “Why didn’t you trust us?”
The girl bristles. “Trust? It has nothing to do with ‘trust’, Phineas! We were scared. We didn’t want you to be angry! And…” Candace trails off, looking down at Perry, who has walked up in front of her. “Ferb, come with me.” Candace leads Ferb out through the elevator that goes to her bedroom.

Chapter 22: Perry?

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Ferb knocks on the entrance to lair 001. It opens, and a vacuum tube pulls the young men down into Agent P and C’s lair. Phineas stands up first, staring at his pet platypus wearing a fedora. “Perry?”
Ferb echoes him. “Perry.”

Phineas turns to glare at his brother, “Did you know about this?”

Candace grabs her little brother. “No, Phineas. But I think he was starting to suspect last night. Listen, did you bring the box?” Phineas tries to pull away from her, and she gasps, letting go and jumping back quite far.

Ferb hands her the box. Candace kneels down, and Perry opens it. He pulls out a small item. It’s a ballpoint pen. “Um… what’s that for?” Phineas looks at the small pen in his pet’s hand.

Perry removes his hat, looks into it, and sighs. He puts the translator in his beak, barely flinching this time. “Phineas, sit down.” Phineas stares at him, but sits down slowly on Candace’s chair. Perry goes over to him, and hops up on a small table next to his owner. “Lay your hand down, palm up, please.” Phineas meets Perry’s eyes, and puts his hand out.

Perry starts to draw with the pen, not touching Phin’s hand with anything but the tip. He draws a square-ish shape, and puts an angry animal face on it. It’s a Goozim. Phineas gasps. “The… the second dimension.”

Chapter 21: No Peeking!

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Phineas is working in his lab at O.W.C.A. when he feels someone touch his shoulder. He flinches, spinning around to come face to face with Candace. “How… how did you get in here?”

She holds up her agent badge. “I need to talk to you and Ferb. Get him, and go give Coco- I mean, Carl, this note.” She hands the confused inventor an envelope and goes back out of the lab.

Phineas runs to the laboratory next door and knocks. Ferb opens the door and is pulled along with Phineas with a hasty explanation. “Candace has an O.W.C.A. agent badge! How did she become an agent?”

Carl stops them. “It took a very long time.”

“Carl, Candace gave me this note for you.” Phineas hands the envelope over to Carl, who opens it immediately.

He sighs. “Oh my… Ferb, Phineas, your sister and her partner are taking a very big step with this. I’m sure they’re scared, and I want you to be gentle with them.” Carl hands the older boy a small box. “Take this to lair 001.” He points down the hallway towards the lairs of the higher up agents. “No peeking.”

Chapter 20: Secrets

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Candace is brushing her hair when she hears a quiet knock on her bedroom door. “Hello?” When there’s no answer, she puts down her hairbrush and calls, “Come on in, Ferb!”

The door opens and the quieter of her two brothers comes into the room. “Hey, Candace. Can I talk to you?”

“If this is about Phineas again…” Candace looks at him suspiciously.

Ferb shakes his head. “We’re worried about you. When you left this morning, you seemed so preoccupied.”

The girl straightens up. “And then when he saw me in the interrogation room… wow.”

“How did you know about that?” Ferb tilts his head curiously.

Candace turns away. “You aren’t cleared for that information.”

Ferb stares at her. “You work for O.W.C.A…”

Candace looks down at the ground. “For five years. Listen, Ferb. I know that Phineas hates secrets, and I’ll talk to my boss. But pretty much all that I can tell you without permission from anyone else is that someone named Zon Joshsyn is for some reason after me. Nobody knows why, or what she wants.” Perry comes in as she says this, and looks at Ferb, and then Candace.

“Krrrrr?” Trying to appear as mindless as absolutely possible, Perry chatters a question at Candace. What’s going on? He wants to scream, but he knows that Ferb would probably fall over or something.

“Hey there, Meat-Brick.” Candace lifts him up, placing the platypus next to her on the bed. The nickname meat brick is what Candace uses with Perry as a throwback to when she thought him to be disgusting. He considers it to be a sign of affection, and she uses it as such.

Ferb watches his sister stroke the platypus gently. “Perry doesn’t seem to be getting any older.”

Candace stands up. “Good talk, Ferb.” She gently pushes him out the door. “Can you and Phin maybe look at my dress? There’s a large tear in it, and a small stain that I was hoping you boys could fix. Thank-you.” She closes the door after him and locks it. She sits down next to Perry again and whispers “We need to tell them. It’s not like you’ll get re-located. There are too many secrets, and I’m scared that Phineas will…” She rubs her forehead nervously, and Perry chatters sympathetically.

He writes something on the notepad that Candace keeps by her bed for woman to monotreme talks. “Candace… he won’t ever do that."
She lies back. “How can you be so sure, Perry?”

Perry looks over at her sympathetically. “Phineas used to have nightmares about it. He would describe them to Ferb, and I would be right there in my form of companionship. That’s why I’m afraid to tell them. I just want to stay a mindless platypus. I don’t want to be a…” He chatters sadly and writes something else. “You remember the second dimension. I described their reactions to you. It was horrible. But now, there has been no reason not to tell them. So, he’ll get so mad… I don’t want him to send me away again!”
Candace hugs him. “I won’t let that happen, Perry. But, you may need to have several talks with him. Explain your point of view. Show emotions?”

“Kr.” It’s pretty much a flat out no. Perry is renowned for masking his emotions.

Candace rubs his head fondly. “Oh, come on, you little meat-brick. How about we tell them tomorrow after we discuss it with Coconut and Monobrow.”

Perry and Candace always call Carl and Major Monogram “Coconut and Monobrow” behind their backs. Mainly because it’s funny. They both start giggling. “I guess I can talk to Phineas… I just hope he isn’t too angry at me.”

Chapter 19: Carpe Diem

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Phineas steps in front of his brother. “Did you talk to Candace?”

Ferb blocks the question by putting up a hand in the universal sign for stop. He shakes his head.

“I was worried about that. When I saw her in the interrogation room of O.W.C.A.” Phineas watches his brother’s reaction.

Ferb’s mouth hangs open as he gasps. “O.W.C.A. arrested Candace?”

“No, she looked like she was actually asking most of the questions. Monogram said that the man entered her room and stole a file.” Ferb waits for his younger brother to continue, seeing that he’s on a tirade, “I asked more questions, but most of the answers were ‘we don’t know’ and ‘you aren’t cleared for that information’.” Phineas clenches his jaw. “I hate secrets, and apparently there are a lot more than I thought there were here.”

“Phineas… relax. Listen, I’m going to go talk to her now, okay?” Ferb sighs. “Go build something. Carpe Diem, Phineas.”

Chapter 18: Rambling

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me

Perry removes a piece of paper from his hat. “What do you know about Zon Joshsyn?”

Heinz thinks for a moment. “Oh, you must mean Rodney’s little friend. Am I right? I think I’m right. Otherwise you wouldn’t have come to me. So, apparently she offered Rodney a nicer deal than L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N., so he went to work with her. Or something like that. I don’t know what she possibly could have promised him, because, I mean, what could be better than L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.?”

Perry watches him closely. He had been sent to interview Doofenshmirtz because he’s around him almost every day, and knows how to pull important information out of his ramblings. Although, even he was finding it hard today.

“He said something about world domination when he gave his goodbye speech… Oh. I have the notes from that. I bought them off the guy who sat next to me.” Heinz gets up and hands the sheet to Perry. “You can keep it. It’s not like I’m going to be tested on them later. So this Zon person, is she like, a new evil scientist? Because I’m not sure that she can handle L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. as competition. I mean, we are amazing! Plus, who is her nemesis? I mean, she’s got to have a nemesis. Or is O.W.C.A. out of free agents? Because, half of the population in the Tri-State Area seem to be evil scientists sometimes. So, all of your agents already have a nemesis? Ohhh, do you want me to come back to the good side and be her nemesis? Because that is not happening. Oh sorry Perry, I forgot that you can talk now, did you want to ask me any more questions?”

Perry blinks a couple times. “Umm…” He looks down at the notes he has taken so far. “No. I think that I’ve got enough.”

Heinz smiles. “So are you going to come and thwart me tomorrow? 10 AM, right?”

“You know it.” Perry winks at him. As he walks out the door, Vanessa comes in from her date with Ferb.

“Dad? Did Perry just talk?” Vanessa stares after the platypus. When she came to the Flynn-Fletcher house the first time, Vanessa had immediately recognized Perry. He had made her promise never to reveal either side of his life to the other side. She wonders about the translator. Did Ferb or his little brother make it for him? Or is it an O.W.C.A. thing? What she doesn’t know is that it’s a combination of both.

Perry knocks on Dr. D’s door politely.

“Oh, Perry the platypus? What are you doing here? I didn’t think that we were scheduled for today…” Heinz stares up at the ceiling for a moment. “Hmm… I really should fix that crack.”

“Krrrr.” Perry walks into the apartment and sits down on the couch. He puts in the translator. “Hey Heinz, I have some questions for you.”

Heinz sits on a chair facing him. “Did you just talk? Have you been able to talk this whole time?”

Perry rolls his eyes. “I’m wearing a translator. And I hate it, so don’t get used to my voice.”

“Did you know that you have the cutest little Australian accent?” Perry glares at him with intensity.

“And here I thought you spoke with the cutest little German accent.” Heinz laughs.

“All right. That was fair. Now what are these questions about?” He leans back in his chair, watching his nemesis carefully.

Chapter 16: Too Many Questions

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me

Perry and Candace recognize the device as Ferb and Phineas’ truth ray. It’s harmless, but Douglas has no way of knowing that. Either way he goes, they learn everything they need to know.
Just as Doug starts to talk, Phineas walks up to the two way mirror where Major Monogram is standing. Monogram presses a button on his watch when he sees him coming, and Perry jumps underneath the table just as Phineas arrives. Carl installed an alarm system for Perry when Ferb and Phineas started work at O.W.C.A. so that they can warn him if either of the boys are coming.

The interrogation continues, Carl still pointing the “weapon” at Doug’s chest. Phineas sees what’s happening and he turns to Monogram angrily. “What are you doing? You promised us that you would never use one of our inventions as a weapon!”

“Phineas, calm down.” Monogram laid a hand on the young man’s shoulder. Phineas flinches and pulls away quickly. “It’s the truth ray. Carl is just using it as intimidation.”

Phineas glares through the two way mirror. “It still feels wrong. Wait, why is Candace in there?”

Francis Monogram sighs. “Carl had a brief period when he was evil. He still does some things that seem evil in a way. Candace is here for the interrogation because that man entered her room and removed a file containing her internet information.”

“Carl was evil?” Phineas ponders this new fact for a moment. “I’m finding that awfully difficult to believe.”

Francis shudders. “It was terrifying. He broke into a musical number with back up dancers. Only truly evil people can do that.”

“Really? I’ve had back up dancers before…” Phineas shakes his head, “But why did he go into Candace’s bedroom? And how do you know what he- wait… why does it concern O.W.C.A.?” Francis stares at him for a moment, trying to figure out his train of thought. “Candace had a file containing all of her internet information? Why would anybody do that?”

Francis sighs. “Kid, I’m trying to watch an interrogation here. But I’ll try to answer your many questions. First, we don’t know. Second, you aren’t cleared for that information. Third, see second. Fourth and fifth, apparently, and we don’t know.”

Phineas stands up straight. “What do you mean I’m not cleared for that information? That’s my sister!”

The older man turns back to the window and puts on a set of headphones playing the input from the many hidden microphones in the interrogation room. Phineas glowers at him, then turns and walks away.

When the boy is out of earshot, Francis presses the button on his watch again, and Perry climbs out from under the table and stands beside Candace. “Anything else you’d like to tell us about Joshsyn, Douglas?” She asks.

“Listen, I don’t even know if she actually killed the agents, okay?” He looks down at the table. “I don’t even know why she’s after you.”

“She’s after me?” Candace stares at Doug. “What do I have to do with her?”

Chapter 15: Budget Cuts

(Chapter 14 was really short, so I'm posting Chapter 15 today too. :)
Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me

Doug starts struggling as soon as he can move himself again. Perry stops Candace from zapping him again. “Krrrr.” She looks down at him sympathetically, understanding. She understands having her mind messed with, and she knows how uncomfortable it is. Slowly she puts the device away.

Carl comes into the interrogation room. “All right. Let’s get started.” He turns off the lights, and a bright light shines into Doug’s face.

“Okay, wait. All this fancy technology, and you’re using a flashlight?” The prisoner rolls his eyes. “Like I told the platypus, I don’t give away free information.”

Candace steps up. “You told him that Joshsyn tried to kill you. What was that if not information?”

Douglas glares into the flashlight, not even squinting. “It was a warning. And a reminder of what happened to all of those O.W.C.A. spies.”

Perry steps back, shocked. Callie, Pinky, Darren, Peter...  Peter and Perry had never really gotten along, but Pinky the chihuahua, Callie the cat, and Darren the duck had been his best friends at the agency. This entire time, he had been hoping that they were all locked up somewhere instead of dead. Even Peter the panda. He wonders who Mysterio was re-assigned to.

Carl was obviously thinking the same thing, or something similar, because he started growling. “She threw Agent Pinky into a shark tank?”

Doug grins, “No. She actually still had a lava pit at that point.”

Candace turns to Carl. “You couldn’t have sent agents that didn’t have owners? The poor girl was crushed when she found out Pinky-” Perry grabs her hand.

Carl is getting tired of holding the flashlight, so he turns the ceiling lights on. “You worked for a very evil person. What would she want with the Flynn-Fletchers?!”

Perry lets go of Candace’s hand suddenly. Is it my fault? Is all this my fault? Is Zon Joshsyn after me? Candace looks down at him. He looks so worried.

Douglas shrugs. “No more info until I see some form of payment.”

Carl sighs, reaching into his pocket. “I didn’t want to have to do this…” He aims a machine that looks slightly like one of Doofenshmirtz’ -inators at Douglas’ chest. “How’s your life for payment?”

Chapter 14: Access Denied

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me

Zon reads a paper in Candace’s file that was labeled O.W.C.A. “She works for O.W.C.A.? This can be used against her. Wonderful.” She turns on her computer, and opens up the O.W.C.A. webpage, and tries to log in using the username and password on the paper. “Access Denied!? How did she change her login information so fast?” After trying numerous other sites, she stands up and walks in circles on the floor. “Okay, so somehow, she must have changed all of her online information in two hours, but, I still know that she works for O.W.C.A. So, that means that I can get to her with that information.”

The poodle barks from the doorway. Zon gets into her chair and checks an almost blank meeting schedule. The door opens, and in walks a white rabbit. “Ah. Dennis. I have a proposition for you.”

Chapter 13: Sweet and Simple

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

She looks at herself in the mirror. The dress is easy enough to put on that she didn’t need any help, so her mother is waiting outside.
It is a muted white, with a pale pink underlayer so that it appears to be just pink enough to not be white. It has cap sleeves, and the skirt simply falls in folds around her ankles. Half-inch cuffs on the sleeves and neckline are white satin, and there is a inch wide sash around her waist to match. The veil that goes with it is muted white lace with a headband covered in white satin with a place for a flower. The skirt also has pockets in it, which is very important to her.
The dress has a large tear on the back, but she doesn’t doubt that her brothers can fix that. There’s also a small stain on the veil, but again, her brothers can fix it. The sales lady comes in with a sample bouquet made of plastic flowers, and a matching single flower. “That dress is amazing. Here, if you want to put the veil on, I brought a flower and a bouquet to show your mother.”

A smile, and the bride-to-be gently  places the teal plastic flower in her veil. “Teal?” The sales lady shrugs, explaining that the other demo bouquets are all in use currently. “It’s certainly… different.”

When she steps out of the change room, Linda gasps. “Oh Candace! That’s beautiful!”

Mrs. Johnson steps up to Candace and walks around her. “Well, there is a tear and a stain… but that doesn’t matter if you like it.”

Candace grins. The teal actually goes not too badly with her orange hair and the winter pink dress. “I love it. It’s so sweet and simple.”

Linda Flynn-Fletcher is still staring at her daughter, when she looks at the bouquet. “Wait, teal?”

The sales lady laughs quietly. “All of our other bouquets are in use currently. Apparently summer weddings are very popular.”

Candace looks at herself in another mirror. “Actually, I kind of like the teal.”

“What?” Linda stares at her, shocked. “Teal flowers?”

Candace grins at her. “And red coral. You didn’t talk to Ferb about the colour scheme? Most of the decorations are pink and white, but the flowers will be bright colours.”

They all laugh at Linda’s puzzled face as she tries to picture teal and red coral bouquets. “It’s your wedding.” She says finally. “But how do you like this dress?”

“Perfect.” Candace says.

Mrs. Johnson agrees. “Sweet.”

“Simply beautiful.” Linda smiles at Candace. She turns to the sales lady, “We will take this one.”

Chapter 12: Attempted Escape

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Perry kicks the man in the back of his knees, and he crumples. “OW!”

Perry rips off the blindfold and flinches just noticeably as he puts in the translator. “What makes you think you are ever going to see them?” he waits for an answer.

Douglas stares at the platypus for what seems like eternity before he whispers, “I’ve gotten out of handcuffs before, you know.” Perry rolls his eyes and ties the fabric over Doug’s eyes again. After he gets him on his feet, Perry watches the handcuffs fall off. Douglas starts running, putting up his hands to remove the blindfold.

“Krrr.” It’s a statement, not a question, or an expression of anger. Perry zaps Douglas with a special machine that Ferb and Phineas built. The boys don’t know about Perry, but they work at the Organization Without a Cool Acronym as technology scientists.

Doug winces as he tries to move and realizes that he can’t. “What did you do to me?” He cries just before his face freezes up. Perry pulls out a remote control. He almost feels sorry for Douglas as he moves the guy toward the main office. Perry, having been controlled himself more than once, hates using this gadget, but he has to admit that it makes arrests easier.

Chapter 11: Arrested

(Because the last chapter was so short, I'm posting two chapters today.)

“Krrrr.” Perry looks angry.

“Um, I don’t speak platypus… Sorry.” Douglas starts backing away slowly. Perry krrs at him again, then he sighs. He starts making hand signals, and slowly Douglas gets the Idea that he’s asking why Doug is there. “Oh. I just escaped from Joshsyn’s shark tank.”

Perry stares at him. Zon Joshsyn has a shark tank? That connects to the O.W.C.A. tunnel system? He makes some more hand signals, asking about the tank.

Douglas Worthington narrows his eyes, “Sorry, Agent P. I don’t give free information.” He turns to run back the way he came, but somehow the platypus is in front of him. Perry flashes his badge. “What’s that supposed to do? Only law abiding citizens pay attention to badges. If you haven't noticed, that’s not exactly my thing.” The agent shrugs, putting his badge back into his fedora. Doug smiles, and turns to walk away. But Perry jumps him, and wrestles him to the ground where he handcuffs him. “Wait, have you had handcuffs this entire time?” Perry picks the young man off the floor and starts walking him along the tunnels. “You must have pulled them out of the same place you store that hat.”

“Krrrrr!” Perry almost punches him, but he stops himself. Instead, he pulls a piece of fabric out of his hat, and ties it over Douglas’ eyes to prevent him from finding his way back to report to Joshsyn. For all Perry knows, this could be a trick.

“Hey!” Doug almost falls over. Then he has an Idea. “Perry, if you let me go, I won't tell Ferb and Phineas that you are a secret agent.”

Chapter 10: Speaking of the Shark Tank

(So, this is my favorite chapter title yet. Sorry that this is so short.)
Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Doug shivers in the dark cave. The mouth of the cave is under water in Joshsyn’s shark tank. I'm so glad that I decided to make friends with the sharks. He thought as he walks along the passageway. The only reason that I'm not a skeleton right now is because I fed them this morning. The tunnel branches off, and he walks right into Agent Perry the platypus, the best O.W.C.A. agent. Oh snap.

Perry seems surprised to see him, too.

Chapter 9: Zon Joshsyn

Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

Suzy Johnson jumps up and down excitedly as Jeremy gets off the airplane. “Jeremy! Jeremy!”

He comes into the airport. “There’s my favorite girl.” They hug. “Did you come by yourself?”

Suzy looks down at the floor. “Mom’s shopping for wedding dresses with Candace.” She tries to hide the contempt in her voice, but Jeremy notices it.

“Suzy, I've told you this before. Nobody can replace you, not even Candace.” Jeremy puts his hand on the twelve year-old’s shoulder. “You are my little sister, and I love you. And Candace is my fiance, and I love her. But how I love Candace, and how I love you, they’re different. Okay? You will always be my favorite girl.” She nods, but she doesn't believe him.

----------------------------------------------

When Jeremy goes to see the Flynn-Fletchers that aren't shopping for dresses, Suzy runs into her bedroom. There, she puts on her long black tight fitting dress, puts her hair into a bun on the back of her head, and dons the very cute top hat and gloves.
Now, as Zon Joshsyn, she sticks her feet into the high heeled boots, and leads her poodle down the long winding stairs to her underground lair, placing her finger on several fingerprint scanners along the way. “Yeah right. If I don’t get rid of Candace, I will stop being Jeremy’s favorite girl. I just know it!”

The poodle walking next to Zon rolls her eyes secretly. She often thinks that he young owner goes overboard on this hatred of her brother’s fiancee. She dares not think the name of the girl when around Zon or Suzy. She feels sorry for Douglas. He was the nicest employee of Zon’s to her yet. Unfortunately, he had known Candace at one point, which made him useless to Zon. So as soon as she found out, she gave him one last mission, and then dropped him into her shark tank to die.
